White Cedar Swamp Trail

Just across the street from our Wellfleet motel you will find the White Cedar Swamp Trail as well as Marconi National Seashore Beach.  Both of which are great places to visit on your next trip to Cape Cod.  The white cedar swamp trail is a 1.5 mile nature trail through the Wellfleet woods and cedar swamp. This trail is great for all ages and walking capabilities with gentle slopes, sandy paths and several spots to stop and take a break.  You will notice many varieties of native trees, plant life and animals and insects as you make your way through the trail into the swamp and back around to Marconi station which you can also visit.  The Marconi Station is the location of the first ever transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903.
