Directly across the street from Wellfleet Hotel the Southfleet is the entrance for the Marconi National Seashore site uplands, and beach.

If you take a left, in about a half mile you’ll reach the Marconi site uplands named after wireless communication inventor Marconi, and The Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail.  Featuring an observation deck with breathtaking views of the outer Cape, the uplands marks a historic and picturesque vacation destination.

After you take in the views on the observation deck, take a walk on the The Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail a 1.5 walking trail featuring a dramatic boardwalk over the red maple and cedar tree swamp.

Backtrack and hang a right and you’ll arrive at one-of-a-kind Marconi beach.  With steep sand cliffs, full facilities and breathtaking unobstructed views of the Atlantic ocean, Marconi beach is one of the top beaches in the country.
