Wellfleet Oyster Festival
The annual Wellfleet Oysterfest is scheduled for: October 19 & 20, 2019 . As always, the Wellfleet Oysterfest does not disappoint. People drive from as far away as New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island to enjoy fresh shucked oysters right here in Wellfleet!
In 2013 an estimated 25,000 people walked through festival entrances paying a small admission fee for the first time ever! This comes from an effort to keep the event safe and sustainable for years to come. Proceeds from the ‘Fest fund SPAT’s educational mission including a local college scholarship program and community grant awards. To date, SPAT has given back more than $175,000 to the local community.
Shuttle transportation to and from your parked vehicles located at Newcomb’s Hollow Beach, White Crest Beach and LeCounts Hollow Beach.
The Oysterfest is produced by Wellfleet Shellfish Promotion and Tasting, or SPAT, a non-profit organization devoted to fostering a greater understanding of the town’s shellfishing industry and made possible through collaboration with the Town of Wellfleet, the support of many generous sponsors, the area shellfishermen and a dedicated group of volunteers.
“The place is very clean, great service and I have been going there for over 20 years. It’s the only place I stay. They have an outside pool and inside pool or hot tub a place for the kids to play and a place to do a cookout “
“Our expectations were far exceeded. We were looking for last minute affordable lodging during the Labor Day weekend. From our first phone call to our late checkout, the service was friendly and efficient. This motel is clean/well maintained/well located to the bike trail and other amenities.“
“From the moment we checked in, the service was simply amazing! The room was a large and air-conditioned and had a very clean bathroom. There was an indoor pool with a hot tub and an outdoor pool both very satisfactory! We will definitely return! A great stay for the value!“
