The Wellfleet Strawberry Festival is held annually in late June or early July at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall. This event is family friendly, costs less than $10 to attend and everyone gets to enjoy an old fashioned strawberry shortcake dessert. There is usually live music and other family activities such as face-painting. Dancing is encouraged and a fun time will be had by all.
The proceeds from the Wellfleet Strawberry Festival will be used to fund the newly purchased middle section of the Wellfleet Historical Society and Museum.
