| Wellfleet Bay's 1,000 acres
of woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands
attract an exciting variety of wildlife,
especially songbirds and shorebirds. Five
miles of scenic trails wind through these
habitats and provide a lovely view of Cape
Cod Bay. The sanctuary's nature center
is a modern example of “green” architecture,
including solar heating and composting
toilets. Inside, the nature center features
two 700-gallon aquariums that introduce
you to the underwater worlds of the salt
marsh and tidal flats.Wellfleet Bay offers
a variety of natural history programs for
all ages throughout the year |

| DIRECTIONS The Library is
located approximately 1/2 mile from Route
6. Turn off Route 6 onto Main Street at
the traffic light. Follow Main Street through
the center of the village past the Town
Hall and the shops. The Library is on the
left with parking adjacent to the building
and also in an overflow lot beyond the
building off Howland Lane. There is reserved
handicapped parking and wheelchair access
through the Howland Lane garden entrance. |

The Beachcomber of Wellfleet,
Cape Cod, is located on Cahoon Hollow Beach
in the Cape Cod National Seashore. Open
Memorial Day to Labor Day since 1978.
We are a casual full service waterfront restaurant and bar.We cater to
the local and tourist crowd,including lots of families, for lunch and dinner.
We offer a complete menu with everything from nachos,buffalo wings, burgers
and salads, to fried or broiled fresh daily seafood specials...and of course
clam chowder. We also have a kid's menu, arcade, ...and we sell 1000's
of those great looking Beachcomber and Cape Cod t-shirts!
Our famous raw bar, voted best on the lower Cape, is steps from the beach
and features fresh daily Wellfleet oysters and littlenecks, Eastham steamers
and mussels, lobster, corn on the cob, and peel and eat shrimp. The "salt
air" makes 'em taste even better! Looking for live music? We were
also voted best "live entertainment" on the Lower Cape ...our
nightlife events feature the best in local, regional, and national bands.
Come on down, have a seat at our beachside cabana bar, sample one of our
world famous frozen mudslides,margaritas, or micro-brews, and watch the
sunset reflect off the waves. Check out the surfers to the right.... It
