The motel is now closed and we have brought all the flowers/plants inside for the Winter. We have just come back from our first trip to our lake house in Maine since we opened for the season back in May. The weather was fantastic, we enjoyed kayaking, bird watching, a jeep ride through the woods, local food and hand picked apple pie. We are now back home, but about to depart for a trip up to Michigan to see family as well as some stops on the way there and back to see some friends. We will give an update when we return! Enjoy this great Fall weather.

This year was a great season for our visitors. Lots of beach weather , boating, whale watching and bicycling on the Cape cod Rail Trail. We hosted several weddings and reunions here at the Southfleet this year. Many are booked for next year. If family or friends are thinking of getting together-please contact us through the website and book your rooms on line as soon as your plans are made. We book up weekends and for July and August fast. Thank you everyone for making 2011 a wonderful season. Special thanks to the Southfleet Motor Inn staff- everyone took such good care of the guests! Opening next year on May 4th. See you in the spring!

The Wellfleet OysterFest,October 15 & 16 is one of the best seafood festivals in the world! People come from all over to enjoy our little seaside community close down it’s Main St. and setup a stage for music, a huge food Tent and beer garden , and arts and crafts vendors.
