The Town of Wellfleet is not charging to park at the ocean beaches, ponds or bay beaches now through Labor Day. Please note there are no life guards on duty. This does not include Marconi Beach- $15 to park, $2 for pedestrians or bicycles. Life guards are on duty. Nice bonus to the end of our Cape cod Summer!
Gull Pond is located just a few miles from the Southfleet Motor Inn and is a great place to swim and boat with the whole family. Gull Pond has docks for the kids to play on and jump off of and the water is shallow and clean. Located right at the pond you can rent boating equipment such as: kayaks, canoes, seacycles, paddleboats and more. You can rent by the half hour, half day and they even have a 3 hour special. Rentals are available from 9am to 6pm weather permitting and you do need a Wellfleet beach sticker to park at the pond during the Summer months.
Adults can enjoy the beach while the kids like to play on the beach and swim in the water. The beach is party shaded which is great for little ones and adults who like some shade. Gull pond has been a family favorite for many many years and is a great alternative to the ocean beaches.
