We could not have asked for better weather this past weekend! Highs in the 70′s, sunny and not too breezy. Many visitors were in their bathing suits at the local beaches, can you believe it! It was really nice to enjoy some hot weather just one more time before the real Fall weather kicks back in to gear. We are only open for 1 more week for the 2011 season! Wellfleet Oysterfest is almost upon us….October 15th and 16th. If you have not made your reservations yet, now is the time as we are getting booked up for that weekend. Oysterfest is a great event, some of the great things going on will be: fine arts and crafts fair, oyster shucking contest, food from local restaurants, beer, kids games and activities and fun for all ages. The weather has been great on Cape Cod for this July. The Southfleet Motor Inn has been busy with people enjoying the bicycles provided by the motel and the easy, Cape Cod Rail Trail -the bike trail opposite our location. Also families have been riding out to the Wellfleet town beaches- no charge if you walk or come by bicycle. Start your day with a quick but healthy Continental breakfast served right in our lobby.
