The weather today was so very nice. The sun was shining, the air was warm and the temperature was in the mid 70′s. The patriots won their football game, the Red Sox and the Bruins won last night. The fall is a great time to come down to Wellfleet and the Cape and enjoy the great outdoors. There are less people and yet the beaches and walking trails are very nice and calming. Don’t forget that even though we are closed for the season you can still book for the 2007 season right online.
Wellfleet’s OysterFest was a huge success this year. The weather was perfect and over 18,000 people came and enjoyed Wellfleet’s favorite ” street party”.
We’ll be seeing the last of the hummingbirds, warblers, verios and others until next spring. With this beautiful weather, the migrations have seemed to be a bit slower than normal. Also the feeders are quiet because food is abundant in the wild! We are on the look-out for our Artic visitors- like the juncos.
This coming weekend ( October 12 ,13 & 14) is OysterFest Weekend and the weather is predicted to be beautiful. We have one room available at the Southfleet – call if interested. Cape Cod is having the never ending summer this Fall.
